Lee Kang-do (Lee Jung-jin) is a cold-blooded loan shark who grew up as an orphan. He doesn't know anything about compassion, love or affection. He lives and works in a shabby neighborhood filled with social outcasts.
One day a mysterious woman shows up at Kang-do's door, telling him she's his mother. He puts her to a series of brutal tests to find out if she's telling the truth. Eventually, he begins to develop affection for this woman who could be his mother, and reconsiders his violent lifestyle.
