Bigger Than Us Overview
Melati has been campaigning since childhood for the elimination of plastic packaging, a source of great pollution in her country, Indonesia. In order to strengthen the impact of her action, she sets out to meet young people who, like her, struggle on a daily basis to improve the living conditions of their fellow human beings. In Malawi, for example, she meets a young woman who forced a law into action banning the marriage of children under 15. Her journey highlights various ecological perils in Brazil, the United States and Uganda, then sheds light on the fate of migrants from the Mediterranean.
