hahaha, wow, it has such an old film look to it as though it came from the 1980's, yet it's set for today [video game centric](2012)... i guess it will have a timeless 'summer matinee' appeal for a long while. i enjoyed it... i can see how kids feel... (miss mine when they were younger) worth the see. i think the adults (parents!!!) laughed more than the kids... lol

i went to see the movie with my boyfried and his 8 year old son, as his son likes the diary of a wimpy kid movies. the message the movie was giving was, yet again, an excellent message told through humor. (i actually think that i liked it more than my boyfriend's son!) highly recommended :d

I work with a 5th grader who steluggrs a lot with reading bc of attention difficulties. He is reading one of the Wimpy Kid books and just like your kiddos, it really sparked his interest. He is otherwise completely uninspired to read but he does like this series. As a teacher, I am ok with kids reading texts that are not "great literature" because reading is reading. My husband is the same way. He has dyslexia and would never sit and read a book, yet he does read magazines, sports articles, and news websites...his comprehension is excellent and he is really smart. As long as you are discussing the aspects of the characters that don't show good qualities etc. I think it's great that

Wow .I am a school soaicl worker who would have loved it if the contest had been open to schools or selected grade levels in a school to apply! What an awesome way to encourage reading, especially in an inner-city school like mine. The kids are the best despite the fact that they face obstacles in their lives that adults would have difficulty overcoming. Just a thought!

Hilarious!!!!!!! It's very funny and teaches a very valuable lesson. There's a little bit of everything in this movie: comedy, funny drama and a little bit of romance.
