  i've never read the series or seen the cartoons and i quite enjoyed the film. my boyfriend however, watched the cartoons as a kid and thought the film paled in comparison. 4 stars from me. 2 from him.

  Tintin Review When I first saw the trailer for “The Adventures of Tintin” I was surprised that Steven Spielberg would direct an animated film. But when I saw the actual movie, I could see and feel the suspense, danger, humor, adventure, and cleverness that Steven Spielberg put into it. It’s an amazing adventure with ruthless villains, clueless detectives, drunken captains, and modest journalists. I think Steven Spielberg was able to bring suspense to Tintin that I think no one has even thought of, and it has great animation.

  I was very impressed with the animation and story line. I was not a reader of the original french series, but Herge is a great story teller. Think Indiana Jones as a young man.
