IMO, Gravity is the best movie of 2013 thus far. See it in 3D if you can, yes, I'm encouraging 3D viewing. It's so good, I went to see it 2x in-theatre. Gravity will either scare the life outta you from ever becoming an astronaut, or do the complete opposite and make you want it more. In either case, real-life astronauts deserve all the glory and praise they get, especially when you know situations you see in the movie, are plausible in real-life space. Sound and visual effects were absolutely amazing, fast-paced and extremely tense, Bullock and Clooney were at their best, emotional scenes didn't slow anything down, awards will be thrown at Alfonso Cuaron and his crew, the music was superb and created great atmosphere, and finally, it was mostly unpredictable, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. One other thing that really stood out, the muting of sound, it added so much atmosphere and intensity. I hope they give us the option of turning off the soundtrack music for the Bluray release, I want to see/hear the movie without any music.
