    Too long to hold the interest of a 6 year old, or myself for that matter. Never really went anywhere. I had really looked forward to it and was disappointed.

    Interesting movie. It had been ages since I'd followed the series, after having caught part of the cartoons back in the day and reading the books at the library in grade school (French Immersion).

    The Adventures of Tintin plays much like an animated Raiders of the Lost Ark [great action, suspense and humor] but without the heart. You can tell it's patched together from three different Tintin books because it's all action, suspense and humor - there's no character development at all. Tintin is a boy reporter. That's it. That's his character. Captain Haddock is a drunken freighter captain. That's it. That's his character. The animation and 3D are incredible, but the film is purely a rollercoaster ride with absolutely nothing else to recommend it - except for Tintin's dog Snowy, who is considerably brighter than his master.
