all effects and no substance. only way this movie could've been saved was if kate beckinsale and jessica biel made out or something. but we all know that didn't happen so....

great movie, didn't expect it to be so much different than the original but as the movie went on that made it better (not knowing what was going to happen next), having kate beckinsale and jessica biel in the same movie is worth five stars alone, farrell did a great job also but there should have been a few arnie one liners in there for old times sake, great date movie, my wife thought it was really good also

great action! love kate beckinsale! but i don't see the connection with the original movie with arnold. they could have take another title.

great non-stop action for 2 hours - but don't think about it. len wiseman's tribute to blade runner is very superficial - too many things don't make sense or are illogical. action craving audiences will get real kicks out of kate beckinsdale & jessica biel, who are better than sharon stone & rachel whoever was. colin is more believable than arnold, but this kind of role tends to favour over-the-top acting. but alas, no memorable dialogue or linear plot. shouldn't have remade this.

interesting take, albeit earthbound, for a remake, which still stands well on its own. the urban/highway/ground street/stacked modular housing visual sets are elaborate and very earthy and dystopian grungy (like blade runner)... intermixed with clean bright modern architectural spaces (london vs australia) but occasionally too cluttered and often blurred in fast panning to see what's going on without a second or third watch. plenty of unexpected variations made the story fresh. enjoyed it; fun; worth the see (too bad no 3d)
