  great, subversive, radically original movie that disguises itself as a hugely cliched one, at least at first. it's probably obvious from the ads that this isn't just going to be about teenagers being killed in the woods, but you have no idea how crazy it gets by the end. it's actually more of a comedy than a horror movie. it's also kind of funny that one of the movie's messages is that horror audiences hate anything different, and want basically the same old repetitive crap...and the movie's detractors are proving that true.

  it was good movie but mom didn't like it because she only like the horror movies that r either based on a true story or the ghost story/hunted house kind.

  great movie! i was thinking it would be a boring slasher flick but i was pleasantly surprised. sort of a cross between evil dead and 13 ghosts. nice to hear some vintage nin in the soundtrack too.

  this was not the movie i was expecting. it was great in a joss whedon way. i can't tell you about the movie, i can only suggest having faith in joss whedon the story teller and his past projects. you will not be disappointed. have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  so what critics are giving this film positive ratings? a messy disjointed film that has you looking at your watch several times. (okay some scenes in the last half hour are off the wall).. but by then it’s changed to a different type of movie.. sort of a horror movie that changes to a scene from men in black! 2 stars! & i’m being kind!

  i enjoy a good thriller but i really didn't enjoy this movie. it did have me jumping out of my seat but i think i should have stayed out of that seat!

  this was the worst movie i have seen in a long time. the plot was non existant, the concept was not bad but poorly executed, the acting was terrible and the dialogue seemed written by a 14 year old who found all his own jokes funny. i really really cannot emphasize how irritated i was that i spent money on this film.

  i've waited so long to see this, and it wasn't a disappointment. hilarious dialogue, and an awesome story to flip the genre on its head. great work to all involved!

  really good movie if you like this genre
